Music, food, games and art – lots and lots of art – filled Central Park in Charles City on Saturday at Art-a-Fest.

Sprinkles threatened sporadically throughout the day, but the park was often packed as folks gathered to stroll among the 30 artists’  displays.

Charles City native David Schmitz was the judge for the juried art show, and awarded first place to Mike Hassig, second to James Kerns and third place to Ruben Ruiz, Deer Creek Ceramics.

Honorable mention awards went to Yoshiko Johnson, Dennis ‘Pete’ Petersen, Kurt Wedeking, Bruce W. Litterer and Tracy Ingham

Jean Semelhack Award went to Ashley Koebrick Schmidt.
