CHICAGO (AP) – Grain futures were mostly lower Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery declined 21.50 cents to $5.0175 a bushel; December corn was off 6.25 cents to 3.6675 a bushel; December oats were up .25 cent to 2.24 a bushel; while January soybeans were fell 1 cent to $8.6625 bushel.

Beef and pork were lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. December live cattle was off 3 cents to $1.3192 a pound; January feeder cattle fell 4.50 cents to $1.6752 a pound; while December lean hogs lost 1.28 cents at $.5372 a pound.

ENERGY

Benchmark U.S. crude fell 42 cents, or 0.9 percent, to $43.87 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Brent crude, used to price international oils, declined 23 cents to $47.19 a barrel in London. In other energy trading, heating oil fell a penny to $1.477 a gallon, wholesale gasoline was mostly unchanged at $1.371 a gallon and natural gas fell 7 cents to $2.30 per 1,000 cubic feet.
