Pizza Ranch grand opening moved to April 22

New Charles City Pizza Ranch owner Len Jentz says he wants his customers to have a positive dining experience that they won’t soon forget.

Jentz will reopen the “fast casual” restaurant chain in Charles City this month — but that grand opening has been pushed back a week to Monday, April 22.

“We just wanted to give our staff that extra week of training because I’m really worried that we’re going to get hit so hard at the beginning. I don’t want it to be where we’re doing a bad job,” Jentz said.

Jentz currently owns and operates the Pizza Ranch in Waverly and is working on an extensive remodel on the inside of the Charles City location. He had planned for an April 15 grand opening. The Charles City Pizza Ranch closed its doors last June after being in business since 2000.

“But I also want to do a good job for them,” Jentz said about his customers. “I don’t want their first experience back in here to be mediocre.”
