An arrest warrant for Ott was issued on Oct. 10 this year, and Ott was arrested Oct. 14 in Cerro Gordo County. He is being held in the Floyd County Jail on $10,000 cash bond.

In 2014, Ott, who was then known as Christopher Donald Hoppe, pleaded guilty and was convicted in Floyd County District Court of sexual abuse in the third degree for committing sexual abuse against a girl age between 14 and 17 during August 2011, when he was 26 years old.

He was sentenced to up to 10 years in prison and ordered to pay a $1,000 fine, both suspended, placed on probation for a period up to five years, ordered to spend 180 days “or until maximum benefits are achieved” at the BeJe Clark Residential Facility in Mason City, and ordered to register on the Iowa Sex Offender Registry.

On March of this year, Hoppe, now known as Ott, was discharged from probation. He remains listed with the Sex Offender Registry, although the last address listed with the registry was in Mason City.
