Floyd Gospel Sing will be this Friday, Saturday in Floyd park

Two dozen gospel soloists and groups from around the country will be performing in Floyd Community Center Park this coming Friday and Saturday, and performing in area churches on Sunday.

The 2021 Floyd Gospel Sing will run from 9:45 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, and from 9:45 a.m. to after 9 p.m. Saturday, featuring a wide range of musicians quickly switching from one group to another in 20-minute sets from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Both days will also include a one-hour lunch break from noon to 1 p.m., and a one-hour supper break from 5 to 6 p.m.

Food will be served inside the Gospel Lighthouse from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.

The Floyd Gospel Sing was started in 1995 by Pastor Paul and Dixie Phillips of the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Floyd. Proceeds from the annual event go to support the Lighthouse Academy Christian school.
