Area residents will get what may be the final chance to see the inside of the new Floyd County Law Enforcement Center during a open house planned for Saturday morning.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on Oct. 30.

“We will have deputies stationed within the facility to help move people through and answer questions,” said county Supervisor Linda Tjaden. “We will also have a group Q&A at 10:45 and 11:45.”

People can park either at the new LEC parking area or the north parking lot across court street, or anywhere else they can find close to the building, Tjaden said. It is likely one of the big sally port garage doors will be open as a starting point for people to enter the building.

“This will be the last time for people to tour the facility before we move inmates into the building, so we hope people have the opportunity to  come and tour the new Law Enforcement Center,” Tjaden said.
