The Charles City Arts Center’s annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser, which was called off last month due to COVID-19, has gone online.

The sale will go live at 9 a.m. on Wednesday. Anyone interested can access the sale at the CCAC website, charlescityarts.org, or go directly to the sale here: charlescityartscenter.square.site/shop/4.

There will be more than 100 bowls for sale for $15 each. People can choose no-contact pickup or shipping (for an additional $10) when checking out. Potters who donated bowls include Doug Reynolds, Bill Mateer, Barbara Thomsen, Yoshiko Johnson, Brian Bohlen, Jon Schneckloth, Pamela Coffey and Emily Kiewel.

Proceeds from the sale go to Messiah Food Bank and the CCAC. These funds are even more needed this year, due to the many business closings, lay-offs and furloughs, the CCAC said.
