June Louise Andresen

180612_J_Andersen, JuneJune Louise Andresen, 91, formerly of Charles City, IA died Friday, May 18, 2018 at Three Links Care Center in Northfield, Minnesota.

Per her wishes, she was cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Fullerton-Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St, Charles City, IA. Inurnment will follow at Sunnyside Memory Gardens.

June was born on August 16, 1926 in Ruthven, IA to Lou and Ila (Bales) Nitchals.  On September 27, 1947 she was united in marriage to Duane Oscar Andresen who predeceased her in January 1997.  June received her nursing training at St. Joseph Hospital in Mason City and became a registered nurse.  She was employed by Floyd County Hospital and worked there from 1947-1969 then at Doctor Tolliver and Doctor Treves office from 1969-1987 when she retired.

She was a member of 1st Christian Church and involved in the Women’s Church Groups.  She was an Elder and Chairman of the Board. In her free time she enjoyed knitting for her children and grandchildren.  She loved reading.

Those left to cherish her memory include her three children, Sharon Baker of Anchorage, Alaska, Patrick (Yvonne) Andresen of Washington, IL and Sandra (Kevin) Willhite of Farmington, Minnesota; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren: several great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ella Dedman; brother, Edgar (Sally) Nitchals; many other in-laws, nieces, nephews and family.

June was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Andresen; parents, Lou and Ila Nitchals; 7 brothers and 2 sisters; Son-in-law, Duane Baker and many extended family members.
