Peggy C. Mackamul

Peggy C. Mackamul, 84, of Waterloo, formerly of Waverly and Charles City, passed February 28th at Chandler, AZ. She was born on April 5, 1934 to AC Jones and Eva Mae O’Brien in Roswell, New Mexico.

On May 31, 1952 she was united in marriage to George L. Mackamul in Roswell, New Mexico. They enjoyed 61 years together. They made their home in Charles City and Bassett from 1960 – 1971.

Peggy was a winter resident in Coolidge, AZ. She loved to spend time with family & friends. She enjoyed oil painting, swimming and gardening. Peggy worked at Salsbury Laboratories in Charles City and Mack’s Auto Trim in Bassett.
Peggy is survived by her children: Lourie (Dan) Usher of Waverly, Vicky (Mark) Wellik of Fort Lawn, South Carolina, John (Gena) Mackamul of Waverly, and Amie Bridges of Columbus, Ohio; 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews that were dear to her.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 PM at the Tendrils Roof Top Garden within the Waverly Health Center.
Burial will precede the Celebration of Life service at the Harlington Cemetery in Waverly at 11 AM. Memorials may be directed to the family.
