David W. Deverell

David W. Deverell, 71, a former resident of Charles City and Rockford passed away on May 15th in Waynesboro, PA.

He is survived by three children, 10 grandchildren, one sister, and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

David served in the ​US Navy and did two tours in Vietnam. ​While serving in Vietnam he was a member of the Helicopter Attack Squadron (Light 3), nicknamed the “Seawolves,” an all volunteer US Navy squadron. With patriotism still running deep he continued to serve his fellow veterans by serving as Post Commander of VFW post 695, Waynesboro, PA. He was also a member of his local American Legion, Moose and Eagles clubs.
