Constantina ‘Connie’ Pota Micich

Constantina “Connie” Pota Micich, age 88, passed away at her home, June 14, 2019, after an extended illness.

Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2019, at Grace Episcopal Church in Charles City with Rev. James Griesheimer presiding. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Charles City.

Friends may greet the family from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday at the church in Charles City.

Connie was a lifelong resident of Charles City IA. She was born June 11, 1931, daughter of James and Marie Tgiros. She attended Charles City Schools and on July 17, 1949, married the love of her life, Lozo Micich, at Grace Episcopal Church, Charles City.

Connie was a life-long member of Grace Episcopal Church. She shared a lifetime of special moments with her family and friends. She warmly welcomed everyone to her kitchen table to share stories over coffee.

Connie is survived by a son, Louis Micich of Charles City; one daughter, Kimberly Rasmussen (Kenneth) of Mason City; one grandson, Jacob Rasmussen of Toledo OH; one sister, Demetra Schilling of Charles City; one brother Constantine “Sonny” Tgiros of Macomb, MI; and many nieces and nephews.

Connie was preceded in death by her husband Lozo; her parents James and Marie Tgiros; two sisters Efstathia Hagen and Angeline Schmieden.
