Lucille Wilhemina Spinden, the daughter of William and Carrie Niemann began her life’s journey on August 1, 1915 in Fredericksburg, Iowa. Lucille passed to her eternal life November 19,2019 at Christian Community Home in Hudson, Wisconsin at the age of 104. She attended a one-room elementary school that was located on a corner of her father’s farm. She graduated from high school and married Edwin Spinden in 1935. They enjoyed raising two daughters. She was an avid Bridge Player and loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her favorite kitty, Sinbad, was her constant companion and brought many happy hours to her. She travelled to all 50 states except Hawaii and loved being part of this country. She lived in Charles City, Iowa, and resided in Wisconsin with Roger and Eleanor until she moved to CCH. Those left to cherish her memory include daughter, Eleanor (Roger) Smith; five grandchildren, Michael Smith, Michelle (Randy) Palaoro, Tim (Michele) Stiles, Mark (Jodie) Stiles, Matthew (Erin) Stiles; eight great grandchildren, Kristina Gloeb, Andrea (Brandon) Riley, Brock, Gabe, Kellie, Luke, Sadie and Sidney Stiles. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Kenneth Niemann; and daughter Diane Stiles. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 11 am at Family of Christ Lutheran Church 285 County Road E Houlton, WI. Visitation will also be Friday from 10-11 am at the church. Interment will be on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 12 noon in St. Peters Lutheran Church and Cemetery in Richfield, IA, where she was baptized, confirmed, and married. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
