Margaret Lou Greimann

Margaret Lou Greimann, 90, passed away peacefully at EveryStep Kavanaugh House in Des Moines, Iowa, on Feb. 17, 2021. She was born on Dec. 4, 1930, to Roy and Martha (O’Connell) Westervelt in Plainfield, Iowa. Her husband of 26 years, William Lewis (Lewy)

Greimann on Dec. 16, 1951, passed away March 7, 1978.

Margaret enjoyed making quilts for her family, embroidering, playing cards, visiting with her friends, and traveling to visit her family. She will be remembered for her never ending kindness, sweet disposition and generosity. She was devoted to her family and cherished the numerous friendships during her lifetime.

She is survived by three sons, David Greimann of Altoona, Iowa, Robert (Kayren) of Wheatland, Pennsylvania, Russell (Gloria) Greimann of Des Moines, Iowa, and Marcia (Jim) Greimann-Ray of Honolulu, Hawaii. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Robert (Carrie) Greimann, Matthew (Judie) Greimann, Jonathan (Sarah) Greimann, Jennifer (Michael) Halt, Heather (Ken) Ulan, Eric (Roxanne) Greimann and Brandon Rexroat and two step grandchildren, Heather Ray and Brandon Ray. She has thirteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her three sisters, Alice Balvanz, LuEtta Ohlendorf and Lois Boehle, and her brother Bud Westervelt.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Everystep Kavanaugh House, 900 56th Street, Des Moines, Iowa, 50312. There will be a private ceremony for her family.
