Bernie wants free education and more?

Bernie Sanders is telling us that if we vote him in as president, things will be different. It will be so much better for those in the low income groups because higher education will be free, and he will put large tax increases on the wealthy.

What will the criteria be to determine who is considered as “rich”? Will it be those considered to be poverty level and below, low income or anyone that makes $50,000 and has money in the bank or the stock market saving for their retirement?

Why should I as a member of the general population have to pay the collage expenses for anyone I do not know?

I do know of a young couple that are doing well and they both worked in low wage jobs. He was earning minimum wage as maintenance in a large apartment complex, she was a dental assistant. Both of them took advantage of the educational opportunities offered by their employers. He had on-job-training and night school, she had the same type of educational opportunities from her employer.

They married and started a family when they decided that she would go to school, she took all of her required studies in a community collage (two years) and then enrolled in the nursing program at the University of Virginia, and received her bachelor’s degree in two more years. They did this while both worked, took care of their children and did not go into debt. My belief is, that everyone is able to get a college degree if they will work towards that goal by being fiscally responsible and have the guts to stay debt free. CUT THE PLASTIC UP, live within your means! Be proud that you did it on your own.
