Letter to the Editor: Supports supporting the hospital

I am grateful to the supervisors for “likely” giving Floyd County Medical Center $250,000. We need our local hospital.

The financial problems the hospital is having because of reduction in Medicaid reimbursement is another example that privatizing Medicaid payments is not working, in spite of what the Republicans in Des Moines say.

The solution is not asking the hospital to reduce services. The issue is getting rid of the state’s private Medicaid management system.
