Letter to the Editor: Thanks for supporting Red Kettle campaign

The 2019 Floyd County Salvation Army Red Kettle has come to a close.

We want to thank all the individuals, organizations and groups that filled the 400-plus hours to ring the bell. Also, thanks to all of the Floyd County communities for their wonderful generosity.

Our total amount collected was $20,243.18. Ninety percent of this amount stays in Floyd County.

The Red Kettle board members prioritize money for special projects and emergencies that can occur where an individual or family may need assistance. Together we can make a difference.

We want to say a special thank you to Hy-Vee, Theisen’s, Schueth Ace Hardware and Kmart for allowing the Red Kettle and volunteers to utilize their stores.

Your involvement, support and generosity for Floyd County Salvation Army Red Kettle is deeply appreciated.
