Letter to the Editor: Agrees with concerns over outside restroom

A letter to the editor by Scott Andrews in regard to the need for proper restrooms facilities at the Floyd County Collection Site caught my attention.

I don’t know Scott Andrews. I don’t know the size of the staff at the collection site or their hours.

I was raised on a farm near Colwell without electricity or running water so I do know, and remember vividly, what it felt like making the trip “outback” on a cold winter’s day. I have great empathy for those involved.

Therefore I do ask the Floyd County Supervisors and the Floyd County Engineer’s Office to take a closer look at this problem. I don’t want to spend the winter thinking about that port-a-potty.
