Floyd County Community Foundation Grant applications are now available

The Floyd County Community Foundation would like to announce that applications for the 2009 grant cycle are now available. This year the Foundation will have $96,554.13 to award to Floyd County non-profit organizations and government agencies.

Application materials are available online at www.charlescitychamber.com or at the Charles City Community Development office located at 401 N Main St. in Charles City. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on Jan. 15, 2009.
 Grants may be awarded in the following areas: recreation, education, economic development, arts and culture, or quality of life. Eligible applicants must be a 501(c)3 non-profit organization; a governmental body (school, city, county) or a charitable project with a qualified fiscal sponsor. Since 2006, the Floyd County Community Foundation has awarded more than $155,000.00 in grants to Floyd County projects.
