Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Russ Leeper. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday at Fullerton Funeral Home 401 Blunt, Charles City, Iowa. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery next to his parents. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Cancer Society.

Randall Dean was the second son born to Elmer Frederick and Mabel Henrietta “Wichman” Kreger on May 31, 1961 in Charles City. He graduated from Charles City High School with the class of 1979. He then graduated from the electrical schooling at Area One Community College in Calmar in 1980. He began his career at Wubbens Electric where he started at age 16, and worked there for most of his career. He then worked for a time at Brayton Electric in Waverly, and then was a current employee at Perry Novak Electric. In his spare time he enjoyed bow hunting and fishing taking many trips to Northern Minnesota. Church was a very important part of his life. For over 50 years he was a steadfast and loyal usher at services. Along with his brother Jim they helped build the model train display at the museum and between the two, their knowledge of railroads is unrivaled. Often then were seen at train swap meets and operating the train display for the museum.

Surviving Randy is his brother Jim, two aunts, Rose Wichman of Ripon, WI and Carol Wichman of Oshkosh, WI. His parents preceded him in death.
