Brenda S. Stevens, age 57 of Ely, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008 in her home after fighting a courageous battle with cancer for the past 14 years.  She was born April 22, 1951 in Charles City, the daughter of Earl and Thelma Kellogg. Brenda and Timothy Stevens were united in marriage on Oct. 13, 1979 in Rapid City, S.D.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy; son, Bob (Amy) Kellogg; daughter, Amanda Stevens; sisters, Karen (Bobby) Hueton of Des Moines, and Linda Hoy of Charles City; brothers, Duane (Sandy) Kellogg, Jim Kellogg, and Bill (Patty) Kellogg, all of Charles City; mother, Thelma Kellogg of Charles City and two grandchildren, Cole and Courtney Kellogg.
She is preceded in death by her father, Earl Kellogg; and brother-in-law, Terry Hoy.
A time of gathering for family and friends will be held Thursday, Dec. 11, one hour prior to the 3 p.m. memorial service at the Ely Baptist Church.  Pastor Bill Fossum will officiate.
