Nashua photographer honored by her peers

Sara Scobee of Spirit Photography in Nashua was recently recognized in the Professional Photographers of Iowa’s Fall Print Competition.

Scobee’s image, “Caleb”, received a third place award in the Mr. Photogenic category and another entry, “Elorie”, received an honorable mention in the Little Miss Photogenic category. In the competition, photographs are judged on their composition, lighting, posing, cropping and more.

The judging is done by a panel of elite photographers as part of the part of the Professional Photographers of Iowa’s annual fall conference in Des Moines.

Scobee is a member of the Professional Photographers of Iowa, a statewide association of professional photographers founded in Des Moines in 1946.
