Staff Report

New Holland, PA — Swartzrock Implement Co., Inc., in Charles City has been named to New Holland’s exclusive President’s Club, the highest honor New Holland bestows on a dealership. The award recognizes superior service to customers as well as excellence and continuous improvement in business performance. According to Steve Swartzrock, there are 950 New Holland dealers in the United States, of which 100 earned the President’s Club Award.

“In Iowa there’s four that earned it this year (out of 35 dealers),” he said.

New Holland President’s Club Award winners achieved the highest levels in excellence in six categories in the company’s onPoint! Dealer Standards program: Service, Business Management, Sales, Marketing and Customer Focus, Parts and Facilities.

“Last year we were a Blue Ribbon dealer which is a step down,” Swartzrock said. “This year the President’s is the top — it’s tough.”

“By earning this award, Swartzrock Implement Company has met New Holland’s highest standards for dealerships, an assurance to customers of excellence in business practices,” Bret Lieberman, New Holland Vice President, North America, said. “President’s Club award winners have worked very hard to deliver exceptional service and support to their customers. We’re very proud to present this type of recognition to the best of the best.”

Becoming the “best of the best” is not an easy feat.

“We actually work on it for six months,” Swartzrock said. “It’s a goal, you actually have to earn it.”

Swartzrock credits part of their achievement to Dora Hayen.

“You have to have someone to sit down and say ‘you didn’t do this, you didn’t pass that,’” he said. “It takes someone to go around and make sure everybody is getting their homework done right.”

Now that the “homework” has been completed and Swartzrock Implement was awarded the President’s Club honor, Swartzrock plans to keep working so as to earn the award annually.

“It just makes us a better. It forces us to be a better dealership…it’s good for the customers, good for me, good for the farmers,” he said. “We’ve already started working on next year’s.”
