Press Staff Report

The weather couldn’t have been nicer Saturday for the Floyd County Outdoor Family Fair, held at the Tosanak Recreation Area near Marble Rock.

Area groups with an outdoor emphasis joined with Floyd County Conservation to provide a range of activities, including crafts, casting practice, archery and campfire cooking.

High water in the Cedar River prevented tram tours from accessing all parts of the 370-acre park, but there was still plenty to do and see.

Tosanak features camping ranging from primitive tent camping to cabins to RV sites with electricity, as well as trails, playground equipment and various lodge accommodations.
