Planes and pancakes

A few hundred people showed up at Northeast Iowa Regional Airport in Charles City Sunday morning for the annual fly-in and pancake breakfast.

The Charles City Lions Club and the airport have been teaming up on the event for 20-25 years. The fly-in breakfast is one of the Charles City Lions Club’s main fundraisers, and the money raised goes back to the Lions Club for continued Charles City Community philanthropy.

Breakfast was served through the morning and plane rides were available at $20 per person for people of all ages. (Press photos James Grob.)
