A two-vehicle accident took place at the intersection of Clark and Brantingham Street in Charles City on Thursday just after 4 p.m.

A white Lodal garbage truck driven by Dale Milligan was headed north on Brantingham Street and was turning left onto Clark Street when it collided with a southbound white 2010 Ford Mustang driven by Jason Foster. A passenger, Foster’s daughter, was sitting in the back seat.

Milligan was cited for failure to yield upon left turn.

The damage was extensive to the front end of the Mustang and according to Charles City Police Captain Brandon Franke, the vehicle appeared to be totaled. An estimated $15,500 of damage occurred to the Mustang. The airbags on the Mustang were deployed.

There were no reported injuries on the scene.
