Second round of leaf pickup to start next Tuesday

The City of Charles City has announced that the second and likely final round of leaf pickup this year will start next Tuesday, Nov. 13. Leaves may be raked into the street approximately 18-24 inches away from the curb prior to pickup. Crews will pass by each property one time only, so citizens are advised to have leaves out in the street prior to Nov. 13.
Leaves raked out into the street after pick up will be the responsibility of the property owner to remove. If possible, vehicles should be parked off of the street until leaves can be picked up.
