RRMR school board approves new bus, tables camera discussion
Staff Report
The bus fleet is expanding for the Rudd-Rockford-Marble Rock Community School District after the school board voted to purchase a new bus for the 2016-17 school year. The district approved the $90,000 purchase after tabling discussion on a new camera system for the existing fleet.
“We’ll get it this summer, hopefully before school starts this next year,” superintendent Keith Turner said.
The school board received a second quote on installing camera systems too soon towards the start of the meeting, Turner said. The district has been considering new cameras for the six existing buses; one set would cost the district roughly $15,500, and another would be closer to $19,000, he said.
The district also accepted the resignation of school board member Kim Trettin. Jeff Kuhlers was appointed to board, Turner said.
