To the Press

In the wake of positive public response, the Charles City Rotary Club is continuing its first aid kit giveaway program. The club has attained a Floyd County Community Foundation Grant to assist in the purchase of an additional 500 first aid kits to be given away to the public at no charge.

The Charles City Housing Units will be receiving 150 of the free kits, while Rotary will also be distributing first aid kits to families at TLC: The Learning Center, St. John Christian Preschool, Central Preschool, Learning Connections and the Lighthouse Academy in Floyd.

The Rotary Club has already distributed 800 of the kits during school registration, along with another 500 at the Charles City Firefigher’s Breakfast and other public venues.

If you have not received a free first aid kit yet, please stop by the Charles City Community Development Office at 401 N. Main St., or contact your local Rotarian. Please limit one per family.
