Charles City artist Ann Schneckloth greets the public

A large gathering of people visited the Charles City Arts Center on Friday, as Charles City artist Ann Schneckloth greeted the public at her reception. Schneckloth’s exhibit of jewelry art and watercolor paintings will be on display through the end of the month as the featured exhibit at the CCAC.

Schneckloth is a retired goldsmith now living near Charles City, and is a graduate of Charles City High School. She attended the Kansas City Art Institute and has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Northern Iowa. Now retired, she worked in area jewelry stores for 30 years, and has been tapping into stone collections to create pieces for galleries.
