Metal Christmas show at Hot Shots raises funds for kids

The Metal X-Mas Fundraiser show held at Hot Shots Billiards in Charles City on Friday raised $1,000 in donations for the Holiday Cheer program. The local metal band Astral Space performed on Friday along with metal bands Anger Incarnate and Guilty of Treason. The Charles City Chamber of Commerce facilitates the Holiday Cheer program, which is designed to link families in need with businesses, groups, families or individuals who wish to give to others this holiday season.
