Cheryl Jean Buker, 63 of Nashua, died Jan. 29, 2017 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.

as born July 12, 1953 in Hammond, Ind., the daughter of James and Francis (Funke) Davis. She grew up in Hammond and then graduated high school in Dire, Ind.
In 1991, she married Frank Buker in Waterloo. For years she worked at Rada Manufacturing in Waverly before starting her job at Chandler Limited in Shell Rock. In her free time she enjoyed arts and crafts, especially sewing.
She is survived by one son, Shane Davis of Greene; four brothers, John Rodrick of Ragsdale, Ind., Paul Rodrick of Forth Worth, Texas, Bill Davis of Lowell, Ind., Robert Davis of Fort Worth, Texas; and one sister, Beverly Murray of Fort Worth, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Frank on July 19, 2014.
