LETTER: We need proper moral background

I am writing this in response to Professor Hall’s opinion article. If these senators, congressmen and journalists were conservative, they would have called the present administration on their horrific abuse of power and withheld funding for many of their policies. A better gauge of who is better suited for the office is the Faith and Freedom Voter Guide:

Harry Truman, 33rd president, said: “The fundamental basis of this nation was given to Moses on the Mount. The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teachings we get from Exodus, St. Matthew, Isaiah and St. Paul. If we do not have a proper moral background, we will end up with a totalitarian government which does not believe in the rights for anybody except the state.
