Comet girls start season with 68-18 loss to No. 2-ranked Clear Lake
The Charles City Comet girls basketball team couldn’t have picked a much more tougher opponent to open the season than the Clear Lake Lions, who were ranked No. 2 in Class 3A in the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union preseason poll.
No major upset here at the Lions jumped out to a big lead early before winning, 68-18, Tuesday night at Comet Gym.
