CHARLES CITY — The Northeast Iowa Elks District Hoop Shoot was held Jan. 20 at Charles City High School’s Comet Gym. Youth ages 8 to 13 in various age and gender divisions competed to sink the most free throws out of 25 attempts. Winners in each group progress through local, district, state and regional competitions, culminating in the National Finals to be held in April in Chicago.
