Public events scheduled in the Charles City Area

MONDAY, MAY 26 – MEMORIAL DAY

Charles City community Memorial Day observance at 11 a.m. at the VFW grounds, 1505 N. Grand Ave., with lunch following in the VFW Hall; bring lawn chairs if wishing to sit during program.


WEDNESDAY, MAY 28

Double C Saddle Club will host a Barrel and Pole Series horse and rider event starting at 7 p.m. in the horse arena at the Floyd County Fairgrounds; free for spectators, with bleachers available or bring own lawn chairs; concession stand will be open.

Charles City Municipal Band rehearsal, 7:30 p.m. in Charles City High School band room; all musicians welcome.
