The Charles City Police Department responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 1000 block of South Main Street at 1:17 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19.
A Dodge Durango driven by Hilda Chapman-Kolheim, 49, of Mason City, was turning off of South Main street onto 7th Street. Chapman-Kolheim lost control of her vehicle and struck the front porch of a house near that intersection.
Minor injuries were sustained in the accident and AMR Ambulance responded to the scene, but neither Chapman-Kolheim nor a passenger in the vehicle was transported.
The Dodge Durango’s damage was estimated to be $4,000. The damage to the house was estimated to be $1,000.
Chapman-Kolheim was given a citation for failure to maintain control, the police report said.
