Colton Crooks named All-NEIC Baseball Honorable Mention
Press photo by John Burbridge Charles City junior Colton Crooks, shown heading for home after hitting the first pitch of last week’s substate first-round game against Humboldt over the fence, was named All-Northeast Iowa Conference Baseball Honorable Mention as an outfielder. Batting from the leadoff spot, Crooks hit .289 with an on-base percentage of .398. Crooks led Comet outfielders with eight assists.
