Foster Grandparents enjoy lunch, prizes and concerts at Winter Appreciation Dinner

Foster Grandparents got an update on the program, talked about their successes, and enjoyed bingo, lunch and door prizes at their annual Winter Appreciation Dinner, held Thursday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charles City.
The group also got a short concert by the St. John Christian Preschool students in the Parish Hall, and a concert by Charles City High School’s premier select choir, Rhymes With Orange, in the St. John church.

Foster Grandparents work in school classrooms and day care centers in the four-county area of Floyd, Mitchell, Chickasaw and Cerro Gordo counties.
To be eligible for the Foster Grandparent Program you must be at least 55 years of age, meet an income guideline, and like being with and helping children.
