County pay raises penciled in for budget talks

The Floyd County Board last week discussed budgeting wages for employees for fiscal year 2017. The Compensation Board met on Dec. 14 and will be recommending a 2.27 percent increase for all elected officials except the supervisors which will be recommended at 1.27 percent. The board directed the auditor to inform department heads to budget 2.27 percent for all employees who are not tied to a bargaining unit. During the budget review process, this may be adjusted.
