Immaculate Conception students showcase talents

The Immaculate Conception Tacos and Talent Dinner Show hit the stage in Charles City Friday night.

Let’s just say everyone involved looked like they were having a good time.

Every year students put together acts to perform on stage in front of family and friends in various skits, dances and solo musical numbers.

Throw in some tasty food to eat before the festivities start and you can see why there were plenty of smiles on this evening.

I.C. Principal Lynette Hackett talked about everyone getting together for the planned event, which for the first time this year featured food before the show started.

“Every year it’s a tradition to do a talent show,” said Hackett. “It’s working well. It’s always packed, whenever we have an event.”

Whether it was a “How to Care for Your Guinea Pig” skit or three dancers putting their own interpretative spin on the Walmart Yodeling Boy song, this show had a little bit of everything.  

“The kids try out and come up with their own skits and things,” said Hackett. “They love it, they really do.”
