Memes and Mismatches kick off Charles City Homecoming Week
It was “Mismatch Monday” at Lincoln Elementary School to kick off homecoming week, where the kids were encouraged to wear clothing that didn’t match. Several elementary students showed off their non-matching attire Monday at recess. (Press photo James Grob.)
Charles City High School juniors Kalysta Rodriguez and Kiarra Mashek show off their “Meme Monday” outfits. They explained that it’s hard to personify a “meme,” as it is a still photo, and they were dressed as more of a “vine,” which is a meme in motion. They said that often a meme will have a message, but in their case, they were just doing it to be funny. (Press photo James Grob.)
