Several different types of homemade soups — all made by Rotary Club members — were featured Saturday night at the Elks Lodge as the Charles City Rotary Club held a fundraising soup supper in conjunction with Cabin Fever Weekend.

The selection of soups included traditional chili, cheesy ham and potato, chicken noodle, white chicken chili, and cheesy broccoli and vegetable. There were also four different kinds of homemade pie available, including cherry, strawberry rhubarb, blueberry and apple. Those attending were even treated to valet parking, if they so desired.

All proceeds went assist the Rotary Club with continued community projects and scholarships.

On Sunday, it was Game Day — featuring 500 and dominoes — at Messiah Lutheran Church, while The Charles Theatre had a matinee of “Spider-Man, Into the Spider-Verse,” the YMCA had an open swim, Comet Bowl had penny-a-pin bowling, and there was a “Bird Feeder Palooza” out at the Fossil and Prairie Center near Rockford — which featured hiking and nature walks, snow tubing and refreshments by the fire.
