The Charles City steer raised $12,068 in the show’s auction, contributing toward the $284,000 raised overall this year.

Also at the Charity Steer Show was the steer Rocky, owned by Dillan Dight of Rockford and shown by Julie Kenney, the Iowa deputy secretary of agriculture. Rocky raised $12,000 and was sponsored by and sold to the Friends of Floyd County Cattlemen.
