C-SPAN mobile studio will visit Charles City Friday

The C-SPAN television network is beginning its 2020 presidential campaign coverage with a seven-week tour of battleground states, beginning in Iowa.

As part of that, the C-SPAN Tour Bus will be in Charles City on Friday, Sept. 6, and the public is invited to a free open house at the high-tech interactive mobile classroom and production studio.

“Step on the bus to see the latest digital media technology, take a selfie at the Washington, D.C.-themed station, and meet the C-SPAN Community team,” said Phyllis Peters, with Mediacom community relations.

The bus will be on Main Street by Central Park from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

The event, hosted by Mediacom Charles City, will include a C-SPAN momento and treats from SweetMama Bakes, Peters said.
