He will be at the home of Todd Prichard, 107 Ferguson St., at 10 a.m. Oct. 7. Doors to the event will open at 9:30 a.m.

The visit is part of a four-day swing through the state. Booker will be accompanied by Prichard, the Iowa House Democratic leader; state Auditor Rob Sand; state Sen. Rob Hogg; and District 4 U.S. House candidate J.D. Scholten.

Booker has qualified as one of 12 candidates for the next Democratic presidential primary debate, to be held Tuesday, Oct. 15, in Westerville, Ohio. It will be the largest number ever in a single presidential debate.

The latest Des Moines Register/CNN/Mediacom Iowa Poll, updated Sept. 23, shows Booker tied with Amy Klobuchar in sixth place, behind Elizabeth Warren, Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg and Kamala Harris.

Booker attended Stanford University on a football scholarship and later studied at the University of Oxford on a Rhodes Scholarship. He graduated from Yale Law School in 1997.
