Charles City man charged with sex acts with two young girls

A Charles City man has been arrested on charges of committing sexual acts with two young girls.

Shane Michael Davis was taken into custody Saturday at his home in Charles City after a warrant was issued on Friday.

According to documents filed in Floyd County District Court, Davis, age 40, is charged with committing lascivious acts with a child, a Class C felony, for allegedly rubbing the vaginal area of a 10-year-old girl in July or August of this year, and is also charged with committing an indecent act with a child, an aggravated misdemeanor, for allegedly grabbing and squeezing the breast of an 11-year-old girl during that same time period.

Davis is currently being held in the Floyd County Jail under $12,000 cash bond.
