Members of the Charles City High School Class of 1959 met Sept. 13 and 14 to celebrate their 60th High School Reunion. Eighty people attended, of whom 43 were classmates.

Classmates traveled to Charles City from California, Colorado, Idaho, Florida, Michigan, Arizona, Minnesota, Utah and Texas, to name a few.

Friday night was a meet and greet at The Pub, and Saturday night was a sit-down dinner at The Elks Lodge served by Dave’s Restaurant.

Mary Ritter Shultz was the master of ceremonies, asking trivia questions about the class’s days in high school, as well as introducing Linda Hughes who did a portrayal of Carrie Chapman Catt for the group’s entertainment. Both nights were spent in conversation and reacquainting with classmates.

The Class of 1959 hopes to have a 65th class reunion.
