Drug charges filed again against Charles City man

A Charles City man has received additional drug charges after a June search of his residence.

Willie Edward Stallworth, 42 of Charles City, was arrested Monday and charged with possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, a Class C felony. A criminal complaint was filed by the Charles City Police Department on December 2 after a June 11 search of Stallworth’s home found what later tested positive as almost 27 grams of cocaine.

Local law enforcement raided Stallworth’s home in the 400 block of 1st Avenue back in March and found two pounds of marijuana. Law enforcement officials also seized approximately 20 grams of crack cocaine in that search. Stallworth was charged with two felonies in that case and had an initial trial date set for July 9.
