Tressa Jo Lloyd, age 32, is charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree theft.

Both Harris and Lloyd are listed as living at the same address in Charles City.

According to criminal complaints filed Tuesday by the Charles City Police Department in Floyd County District Court, Harris held a barbecue fork to the neck of an alleged victim and Lloyd held a knife in a threatening manner to his abdomen, demanding that he give up his money and other valuables.

The incident is alleged to have occurred on Thursday, Feb. 27, in the 900 block of Spriggs Street.

The report says that the alleged victim attempted to defend himself and feared for his life and felt pain.

A cellphone was allegedly taken from the victim, the report says, and was later allegedly recovered during a warrant search of Harris and Lloyd’s residence.

On Sunday, March 1, a man was asked to come to the Harris and Lloyd residence, according to court documents, and after he arrived he was allegedly assaulted and his property was stolen.

The man “ran away due to being scared for his life,” the court documents say, and Harris and Lloyd allegedly stole the man’s vehicle, a 2008 Ford Expedition valued at $8,000, which was recovered by police the next day.

Harris’ second-degree robbery charge is in connection with an event that allegedly occurred on Feb. 22, when Harris is said to have grabbed a man who had come to his house, taking the man’s cellphone, wallet and other personal items.

The alleged victim “felt as if he were going to die,” the police report says, and the man ran out the door seeking the help of police.

Police allegedly found the man’s cellphone and some other items during a search of Harris’ home.

Both Harris and Lloyd were arrested Monday at their home. They were being held at the Floyd County Jail as of Tuesday evening, according to a jailer.

Both Harris and Lloyd are being held on $25,000 cash bond for the first-degree robbery charges and $5,000 cash bond for the second-degree theft charges.

Harris is also being held on $10,000 cash bond for the second-degree robbery charge.

Conviction of a Class B felony is punishable by up to 25 years in prison. Conviction of a Class C felony is punishable by up to 10 years in prison, and conviction of a Class D felony is punishable by up to five years in prison.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for both Harris and Lloyd on March 13 in Floyd County District Court, although frequently the Floyd County Attorney’s Office will file trial information officially listing the charges, in which case an arraignment hearing will be scheduled.
