Charles City Elks Lodge will hold Flag Day ceremony Sunday afternoon
Twenty-four United States flags fly at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City Thursday, part of the Lions Club’s Flags over Charles City program. The club’s subscription service installs flags at participating residences and businesses before Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and Veterans Day. The Charles City Elks Lodge will hold its annual Flag Day ceremony on Sunday, June 14, which is Flag Day.
The event will begin at 1 p.m. at the Elks Lodge at 2111 Clark Street. It will be held outside this year around the flagpole to allow for social distancing.
